Lærke Lauesen is a Copenhagen based artist who works within the field of photography. She finished her bachelor degree in Photography from UE Art and Design in Berlin. She is originally from Aalborg but later on moved to Copenhagen where she has attended several schools that teaches photography. Her work has been exhibited several times in Berlin and Copenhagen. Her practice is often focused on the physical spaces that we find ourselves in and how those are observed. Approaching the subject with a documentary style she intends to challenge the more conventional way of thinking about specific spaces and places. Her fascination for the subject was strongly present in her project ‘Veil’ where she investigated and photographed a large number of morgues in Denmark.
